hike, bike or meander

We are casual hikers ( and bikers and swimmers ) and at least one of us got completely lost in Percy Warner on the 4.5. Thankfully the out-of-towner companion had phone GPS. It was very funny - Afterward.

THE GREENWAY BEHIND PUBLIX ON WEST END IS PERFECT. YOU CAN WALK HALFWAY AND STOP FOR BAGELS AND CREAM CHEESE AND THEN FINISH YOUR WALK. AND STILL HAVE ENERGY TO GROCERY SHOP WHILE LOOKING GREAT AS YOU WILL NO DOUBT RUN INTO SOMEONE YOU KNOW.

I feel confident in saying that we are not going to hike in cold weather but this Cabi is lightweight and has a removable hood. For nonhikers it is great for running from car to Whole Foods, CeCe Yogurt, Silly Goose any boutique especially Designer Finds ....well you get the point walk walk walk it burns holiday calories.

HAVE YOU BEEN ON THE WALKING BRIDGE YET AT THE END OF BROAD.

EVEN ON A BLUSTERY DAY IT IS BEAUTIFUL. THE LIGHTS AT NIGHT ARE LOVELY, TAKE A FRIEND AND HAVE A LITTLE FUN BEING A TOURIST FOR A NIGHT.

Okay we admit NO ONE would hike the trails in white or even bike especially on damp streets. But for a walk around the urban area this is perfect. Layers of cashmere and lightweight Buchman trench and a waterproof boot a solution for the afternoon and then perhaps somewhere for a warm fire and toasty sandwiches.

I think it would be fun to go to Marche's to end a lovely day looking around 5 Points.

A trusted travel guide has put out a list of the “7 Best Hikes in the U.S.,” and one of them is a 4.5-mile loop in Nashville’s Percy Warner Park – known to those who walk and run it as “red trail” because of the red trail blazes guiding the way.

This is a path that already gets a lot of local love. It’s almost totally shaded and has rigorous hill climbs with a few scenic views.
The park is just a few miles from downtown. The ranking by Fodor’s travel notes the easy access, as well as the towering hardwoods and a natural spring.
The Mossy Ridge Trail – as it is named – is put in the same short list as a jaunt through Utah’s Zion National Park, a stroll around the sea cliffs in Hawaii and a day hike through the Rockies from Aspen to Crested Butte."

We see many mothers and daughters shopping here in the store and in the mall that we thought it might be nice to imagine ways to interweave a style. Infants and young mothers, college girls and their mothers, and women in their sixties with their "still shopping" ninety-year-old mothers. It is also fun to watch them give one another style advice. A few of us remember the days when our mothers had our outfits made to match by a seamstress. While those days are gone it seems quite right to have a bit of shared style.
