how to get a boy to wear that Christmas sweater you love

Home Alone

We don't recommend bribing your son, but if you want him to wear that Christmas sweater you've been eying at the shop, maybe a movie together will make him more receptive!

All of these cute sweaters remind us of our favorite holiday movies... Home Alone in particular! Grab some popcorn, a Christmas sweater from the shop, and one of these movies and have a lovely time with your young one!

lets go some place we have never been before II: mississippi, alabama and north carolina

Do you ever drive around with no particular place to go?  Pack an overnight bag, gas up the car, and turn off your GPS.  Grab a Julia Reed book to read " My Mama Always Put Vodka in her Sangria" is filled with southern history and recipes.  Or the book about Julia's House in New Orleans.  Everyone will love these anecdotes.  ( For those who prefer a cozy day at home why not rewatch The Divine Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood with one of Nashville's own in leading role).

Turquoise is often forgotten in the fall and seeing the lovely Victorian home above made us remember how lovely almost every complexion is with that hint of blue green especially in a sea of fall leaves.  This Tory Burch dress has threads of turquoise and teal.  A charmer for a home tour.

Or keep it simple and laid back for a walk-around the town square.   Put on one, two or all your favorite jangling bracelets.

Dana Buchman does turquoise.

If you want to keep it even simpler to add turquoise.  Try a necklace that just peeks from your collar.

We found a touch of turquoise in this oxford shirt to add for those of you who like to travel in trousers. Tory Burch corduroy jacket is the perfect weight and never wrinkles.

If a dress doesn't work and you don't like traveling in trousers.  Try this darling Lauren Moffatt skirt with Pockets!  We added the turquoise flats.

Can you imagine how amazingly beautiful this would be in the sunlight?
